2024 Chengdu Golden Autumn Consumption Promotion Campaign Launched

On September 6, the 2024 Chengdu Golden Autumn Consumption Promotion Campaign themed "Wonderful Chengdu, Joyful Double Festivals" kicked off at the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park located in Xinjin District, Chengdu. Running through October, the campaign focuses on key areas including consumer goods trade-in programs, department store promotions, catering and gourmet offers, and the silver economy. It has joined hands with 23 districts (cities and counties) across the city and over 200 commercial and trade enterprises to launch a total of 230 consumption promotion activities under four major themes, namely "New Semester Shopping Spree", "Mid-Autumn Family Reunion", "National Day Happy Shopping" and "Chongyang Benefits for Seniors".

The campaign adopts a "1 + 5 + N" model, which consists of one launching ceremony, five main venue activities and N sub-venue scenarios. At the launching ceremony, the "Wonderful Chengdu, Joyful Double Festivals" consumption campaign and the Cinnamon City Consumption Map were released. In addition, the event featured promotions of Chengdu kiwifruit products and the Golden Autumn "Osmanthus Fruit" brand, showcased the achievements of Xinjin's beautiful countryside construction, built a market trading platform, smoothed the connection channels between production and sales ends, and presented Xinjin's international consumption experience scenarios integrating dining, entertainment, tourism and shopping.

Notably, at the main venue of Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park, the Chengdu Wonderful Cinnamon City Featured Food Culture Experience Activity, which draws inspiration from ancient cinnamon market customs and traditional Mid-Autumn Festival folk traditions, has set up a market experience zone, a folk performance zone and an interactive experience zone. A series of activities are held here, including performances of traditional operas and folk dances, as well as parent-child interactive activities such as lantern riddle moonlight parties and orange lantern lighting.
